The Breakfast Creek Hotel is arguably the most famous watering hole in Queensland and one of the most iconic in Australia. It's more than just a venue it's a major destination in Brisbane, popular with local, interstate and international visitors, one of the best loved in the city.

Built in the French Renaissance style in 1889, the Breakfast Creek Hotel is famous for its premium quality steaks and 'Beer off the Wood' 7 days a week. The hotel's close proximity to the domestic and international airports ensures that a steak at the Brekky Creek is a 'must do' for all visitors experiencing their fair city! Past guests have included Mikhail Gorbachov, Russell Crowe, Greg Norman and local legends Powderfinger just to name a few!. It is without a doubt that their reputation precedes them far and wide!

In conjunction with Queensland's 150th birthday, the Brekky Creek was recognized as a Q150 icon. An honor for the hotel certainly that was only cemented when also nominated in the RACQ 150 Must Do's in Queensland. Breakfast Creek Hotel was the only hotel to be recognized in each award and came in at number 20 in the must do list with "Tuck into a steak at the Brekky Creek Hotel".

Horse Racing enthusiasts are always happy to realize how close the hotel is to both Eagle Farm and Doomben racetrack. On any given day you may just catch a jockey or trainer indulging in 'one off the wood'. The perfect location for any pre race day party!

Ghost hunters can also be found looking and listening for any unusual occurrences. Over the years there has been many a sighting of 'old Bill'. William McNaughton Galloway built the hotel in 1889 and resided here until his untimely death. An intoxicated fall from a second storey window led to his demise and it is said that he haunts the hotel to this day.

Offering 5 unique bars, a historical tropical Beer Garden and the famous Spanish Garden Steakhouse it is little wonder that this institution is recognized as "Brisbane's best loved pub".
